Could not seal the deal

This Friday, I was at a bar with my wingman. I immediately opened a 2-set upon arriving - one 8 and one 6. The 8 proceeded to get sloppy drunk, but her friend stayed relatively coherent. My wing and I pull them out of there and are walking down the boardwalk, and she cannot keep her hands off me, to the point where I am think I am going to get arrested for public indecency. My wing is talking to her friend, keeping her occupied, but we eventually wind up back at the bar, where the 6 friend pulls her away for a minute, and next thing I know, they are leaving without me. I got a number, but no response whatsoever (text or calling).

Is this just a case of her friend doing what she sees as her duty by blocking me? Could I have done anything to make this work?Is this to be expected? Any advice would be appreciated.
